Is he actually legit? He was world junior champion, but was he an age cheat?

He tested positive for EPO a while ago, so he was at least a drug cheat.

I bett you're right about that. 😉
Plot twist: Asbel Kiprop's and Bett's claims that they have been framed are true
He was somewhat of an overrated talent when it came down to it (even taking out the PEDs) . Ran fast at a young age but never faster than 1:43.7, which is now a time that probably makes you a borderline finalist at best. Saruni and Emannauel Korir much bigger talents in my view who haven't really delivered yet, but we'll see if they can put it together. Ditto Kinyamal.
What happened to korir this season? Korir declined in the 2019 season, I'm worried he's another age cheat
Remember him? Of course I do. When we were younger we used to run naked through the sprinkler on my grandma's front lawn.
And by younger, I mean in our late 20s.

Don't know why Korir would age cheat...He's listed at age 25, and has never competed globally at the international level. He does have a result for this year, he won a 400 race in 46.06. That's nothing special for a 44-second 400 runner, but at least indicates he's running. In 2019 he was injured a bunch but he did make the 400 final and ran 44.37 in the semis I believe. I wouldn't count him out. If him and Saruni are still training together, Saruni ran a solid 1:45.34 800 indoors not looking like he was at full fitness or going that hard.
Sorry meant to say he hasn't competed at the junior level...so not sure why he'd age-cheat.
He competed in college
And? You can be very old in college. Plenty of BYU guys are 24-26 by graduation and it’s not age-cheating...
I wonder what the current banned athletes like bett are doing right now

Probably training...Kenya right now has a stance that they won't let sanctioned athletes represent them in international competition. I suspect they'd relax that for guys whose bans are for missed tests when push came to shove. Either way this wouldn't preclude Bett from making money on the circuit unless all the meet directors blacklist him.
Wonder what Mohammad Aman is doing
Why don't we know more about Kenyan/ethiopian runners lives?

I'd like Jonathan Gault to interview Bett, Kiprop, Kipketer, Wilson Kipsang. Let us know how they are coping after being harshly banned. Let them know that most of us here miss them and can't wait to see them perform again. It was good to see the Kenyan sprinter promoted on the front page today, highlighting the injustice of his ban from representing Kenya. LetsRun is definitely going in a much healthier direction - clamping down on the racists who focus on doping and instead showing the human side of these unfortunate Kenyans who were caught by a system that is all too loaded against them. Bravo the Brojos!
