My 2nd edition book doesn’t appear to have a clear cut half marathon plan. It has 5km>15km plan and a marathon plan with some notes around half marathon training.
I’ve seen people here talk about R pace and I pace within the half plan? But within the marathon plan I read it doesn’t have any of this.
I’m contemplating doing a pfitz 61-84 miles per week half marathon plan but have followed Daniels 5km>15km plans in the past. I’d like a mapped out Daniels plan but am being lazy.
The pfitz plan is mostly tempo stuff with vo2max reps a bit later on and is 12 weeks in duration instead of Daniels 24 week plans with 4 phases.
Pfitz has no rep stuff but does have quite a lot of strides and some around 150m which I guess is the rep work.
Am I missing something?
Has anyone used pfitz plans with good results?

Also pfitz plan has most of this mileage in singles. Lots of 11 mile runs and 12 mile runs. Sometimes he prescribes two recovery runs on a given day but is there any harm in splitting the 11 mile run into 6 miles and 5 miles or 7 and 4 etc.
There’s plenty of long runs. Most weeks between 14-18 miles. And a mid week longish run. So could you get away with more doubles using this plan? -

Many people have. I've read his books and I like them, but I haven't followed his training plans closely, so maybe some Pfitz fans will come along with their thoughts.
