All I want to know is how much people think the dragonfly would take off compared to a previous leading spike, say the victory 3, for a 4:00 miler. I’ll give them a 3:58... Go

It could be the ticket to sub 4:00. I’d say 3:58-3:59. I have both Vic 3s and dragonfly’s and I don’t think that between the two the dragonfly’s would make a huge difference at a mile and under.
I’d say a 14:00 5k guy could be looking at high 13:40s tho which is huge
Yeah it’s interesting... how about for a 3k? 8:00 down to 7:55? I think judging by the runs by guys like wightman last summer they don’t really shave that much off for the shorter distances, 5k is another story though...
I’d say 3k is officially the race where you’d start needing dragonfly’s to remain competitive. You take 2 guys that ran 8:00 with the same training, and same speed/endurance balance and put one in Victory’s and one in DragonFlys and I’d bet money the Dragonfly guy wins.
Most adidas sponsored college 3-10k guys I know are just painting out the swoosh and wearing them, which I think is sad for adidas. Poor college students are willing to pay 150$ for spikes instead of just using the adidas spikes given to them for free, and that has to mean something.
Yeah it sucks to be honest... it’s not really the spikes I hate just the exclusivity of them. Idk how it is for US guys but at least where I live it’s borderline impossible to get hold of a pair without massively overpaying to get them from resellers.
yeah tough to find..But I just got a pair of unisex size 10 from runnerplus / soccer plus today (Friday)... ordered them Monday or Tuesday.. VERY limited sizes/options.. But I lucked out I guess.
and $150 is NOT crazy over the top expensive IMO.
