Hey!
Hope you're all doing well in these uncertain times. I've been trawling the net to no real avail for some answers and was hoping to pick your brains over here. I recently had Surgery in December and after a period of inactivity was diagnosed with two surface blood clots on Jan 13th of this year. As a result, I was prescribed Eliquis and given a multitude of tests which all came back negative (thankfully), and I was taken off of the Eliquis three weeks ago having been on it for around or just shy of two months. Typically, precautionarily people are put onto thinners for approx. 3 months, and on my recent blood workup my DDimers were elevated (Doppler shows absorption and dissipation of clots, where DDimer elevation is usually prevalent) so my hematologist has decided as of today to put me back on the thinners as he feels I was taken off too soon, precautionarily for what he hopes another month until my DDimer levels are tested lower. While on the Eliquis before, I was coming back to training post surgery therefore it didn't really replicate or show any impacts on my athletic performance, however I am as of now training for a Marathon in October and I'm wondering if Eliquis will have a negative impact on my athletic performance/endurance. I'll be taking it regardless, and it's a necessary precaution compared to the other evil, but I guess I'd like to draw on other peoples experiences (if any) whether or not Eliquis impacted your performances at all.
Many thanks and hope you are all doing well!
