Hi, so I'm a 15-year-old freshmen distance runner and I have a track meet tomorrow. I've always heard of the "2nd nights sleep before a race" myth and I honestly don't know if I believe it; however, the past 3 nights I've been getting like 6 hours of sleep, and I'm really nervous that it will affect my race performance tomorrow. Are there any tips for getting through this and performing well tomorrow, or getting a better night's sleep during competitive racing season?
Try NyQuil and count some sheep. Play slow music while trying to sleep.
