Nope. As Nonatall said, you need to research altitude training if you are honestly asking this question.
Yes. There are two reasons to go to attitude. One is the stimulus to then race. The other is to elicit a response to then be able to train harder at sea level. Most of the kids going don’t realize they’re doing the latter.

a question like "is it worth it" bakes in so many variables, its hard to know where to start.
if the question is simply might i see performance benefits in november that i would not have seen had i not gone, the answer is definitely maybe. but if the question is do those potential benefits justify whatever costs ill need to incur to get there--who knows.
