He'll run 3:40
He'll run 3:40
LOL. That is really fast my man.

The 5000 is stacked. How fast will Kiptoo take it out? You know he wants to vindicate his cross loss to Mantz. Maybe we see a 13:10 race?
Mantz may run the 10 instead, he's entered in both and I have to assume that means he'll pick which to run at some point. 5/10 double would be badass but probably counterproductive to try.
Kiptoo is also entered in both. I can't imagine either of them doing another 10 right now. What are NCAA qualification requirements this year?
what would teare and hocker have to have run during that time trial for y'all to be convinced they can break 3:36 in a normal race?
Hockers mile at NCAAs is enough proof that he can run 3:36 in a normal race. Isn’t a 3:53 mile around about 3:36 equivalent anyways?

Would it shock anyone if Hocker casually dropped a 3:31?
Yes, because such times are rearly seen outside DL, and the field is not strong enough. If he does that we are starting to talk WR in a few years.
they went through 1500m in 3:35 in the 3:50 TT, and that's really enough for me
the 1500m split at NCAAs was closer to 3:40, but hocker closed in 25. swap out his slowest 100 with his last 100 and you're back in range
Hocker and Teare are both in about 3:35 shape. Any talk of faster is due to a lack of intelligence.

3:34 can be about 3:35 :)
Runnerspace will be steaming the meet.
LIve results with heats:

It looks like Oregon freshman Elliot Cook will pace the Invite 1500m.
Also Hocker made the invite heat for the 800m so should be interesting to see him go up against 1:45 800m runner Festus Lagat.
What do you all know about Abdirizak Ibarhim of NM? I'm pretty sure he's Somalian or Eritrean based on that name. That's a pretty cool name as it represnts two of the patriarchs of Judaism.
There was a pocket of Somali immigrants that had Abdi in their name and they were all ridiculously fast
What do people predict for Reed Brown, Luis Peralta and Lucas Bonns in the 1500?
I think the biggest question mark in the 5K is Eduardo Herrara
I also wonder who is favored in the steeplechase? I know nothing about who's good in that

Why not a 3:33 as his recent 3:50 mile indicates?
Because his mile converts to 3:34.5 and not 3:33.0.
This seems to say live streaming will be free, subsequent on demand will not

I think consensus says: mile time/ 1.08= 1500m time.
And that makes Hocker´s mile time 3:50.55 = 3:33.47 in the 1500m

Yeah, bait and switch....
A lot of posters here excited about looking at live results. I'm sick to my stomach they aren't letting any spectators in beyond a guest list.
I'm really hoping the NCAA and USATF have backup facilities ready to move those meets to a free state so I can get excited to watch live races, not streamed, tv or post race results.

Letsrun, where anything less than your PR everytime out is a disappointment.
I heard that the new track is not quite a full oval and it’s actually short to try and guarantee new records! Serious Rumor!!!

Just reading the heat sheets, Mantz in the 5, then Kiptoo in the ten.
Kurgat will win.
