Pac 12 women never went away. Ever heard of Sabrina Ionescu?
Stanford could not win the regular season title for six years, because other teams have got better.
Congrats to UA in beating UConn last noc. I must say I'm not a fan but I do really respect UConn's coach appraisal of the game, no excuses.
I watched the UConn - Arizona game last night, out of curiousity more than anything else. Only one game, of course... but generally an unwatchable mess. More than 20 blown lay-ups... multiple air-balled jumpers from the paint... turnovers galore... a total rock-fight. Won't be watching the final.

When the women play the game the way they above the rim with tomahawk and windmill dunks, does it really matter if the have a few hairballs and even fewer turnovers? Dominique Wilkins was not a complete player but he was sure fun to watch.
And when AZU beats UConn....

Paige scored 28 clutch points to lead UConn over Baylor to make the final four. She always steps up big when the team needs her. Her team didn't need her in the Iowa game.
She is a superstar.
So why did she not step up big against Arizona when her team needed her?
She scored 18 points despite being double and triple teamed all game. That's pretty damn good. She also had 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
The rest of the team was a DISMAL 15-43 from the field. Can't expect her to score 50.

She did not have to score 50. Had she scored 30, UConn would have won. Remember Sheryl Swoopes' 47 against OSU in the title game? Jackie Stiles' 41 against Duke in the regional? And if you are double and triple teamed all game, you should have more than 4 assists. After all, many people have already called her the GOAT. Instead, she was outplayed by McDonald at both ends of the court.

It's hard to get assists when the rest of your team shoots 30% and blows wide open layups.
Well UConn is gone so that blows the brackets.
the Men's UCLA - Gonzaga game was pretty exciting. How will that be topped on the women's side?

Well, it wasn't by tonight's game, that's for sure.
I hope the Arizona coach didn't put too much thought into her final play-call. That was dreadful.
Stanford's last possession was dreadful. But they played great D on McDonald on Arizona's last possession. That's how you shut her down. Geno should take some notes.
And Haley Jones turned out to be the true impact player she was supposed to be.
