I tried to watch but got bored. I expected the women to be better.
Wait, Geno agrees with me? What a shocker! ;)

Wow, that WNBA video is painful to watch, especially starting around 54 seconds. Very painful.
I did watch some of the UCONN/Iowa game and was pretty impressed with both freshmen. They did seem a cut above most of the rest of the players on the court. Bueckers definitely has the complete game. It's not all about points.
And I loved it when she slapped her coach on the @ss in the closing minutes. I don't think Michael Jordan could have gotten away with slapping Dean Smith on the @ss as a freshman.

OP sounds like an ESPN writer, trying to hype up the women's tourney. The favorites absolutely dominate because of the lack of competitiveness in the sport of women's basketball.
Tell that to 11 seed BYU, 12 seed Belmont and 13 seed Wright State who all JUST YESTERDAY won tournament games against higher seeds. That Wright State game was a monster upset. So maybe you should try paying attention before you talk.
The depth of the women's game is nothing compared to the men's.
Wins by Low Seeds
FIRST ROUND
16 seeds - Men 1, Women 1
15 seeds - Men 9, Women 0
14 seeds - Men 22, Women 1
13 seeds - Men 30, Women 7
12 seeds - Men - 51, Women 23
SECOND ROUND
16 seeds - Men 0, Women 0
15 seeds - Men 2, Women 0
14 seeds - Men 2, Women 0
13 seeds - Men 6, Women 3
12 seeds - Men - 22, Women 4
So apparently Paige Bueckers has more SNS followers than any other college player,

Interesting, but it discusses players from elite 8 teams. I wonder where Cunningham would rank on a complete list.
If you are bored with the 34-17 halftime blowout by Houston you can switch to the UCONN/Baylor game. 47-44 Baylor with 4:43 to go in the 3rd quarter. Bueckers has 18 points. I think they said UCONN has made 12 straight Final Fours but the streak might end tonight.
UCONN 66, Baylor 63 with 1:43 to go. Bueckers now has 28 points.
Down to the final possession. UCONN 68, Baylor 67 with 17 seconds left. Baylor will get the final shot to win or lose.
That was a better game than anything in the men's tournament.
That Caitlin Clark gal’s kind of cute!
Paige scored 28 clutch points to lead UConn over Baylor to make the final four. She always steps up big when the team needs her. Her team didn't need her in the Iowa game.
She is a superstar.
why were you losers in here posting during such a great game?

Nice shell game. The womens tournament didnt expand to a full 64 teams until 1994. The men have been playing at least 64 and now 68 since 1985. And anyway even those numbers dont indicate anything close to "absolute domination" which was the original declaration made. You had an 11, 12 and 13 seed win on the very same day the statement was made. And last night Texas knocked off Maryland which is a significant upset even deep into the tournament. Not to mention Indiana beating NC State. So spare me this tired garbage that theres no competition in womens basketball. The womens game is filled with talent now.
Baylor was robbed on the no call.
Filled with talent? Why don't some of these women tryout for the NBA to make so real bank.

Baylor played dirty all game and got away with it. They MAULED the white girl from Uconn every time but never got called.
The Baylor players would have all fouled out in the 3rd quarter if the refs were fair.
The refs called it the same both ways so stop crying. There were plenty of fouls that werent called on Connecticut too. Just happened that the end game foul is the one that every one notices and screams about. Say what you want about the no calls, it sure made for an entertaining game. It was rough out there. Looked like a Big East mens game from the 80's or a heavyweight fight where both sides land blow after blow but refuse to back down. Thank god Richards injury was "just" a hamstring injury after paralyzing herself earlier in the season. Nearly had a heart attack when she pulled up lame. And her injury sure derailed Baylor. UConn went on a 19-0 run after that. No doubt would have lost if she hadnt gotten hurt. But in the end what a great game. Seriously high level basketball. Hopefully these two teams continue their non conference match ups going forward.
The win had nothing to do with that girl getting hurt, they turned around because of a timeout pep talk from their coach. The injured girl was the defensive player of the year but Bueckers already dropped 20 points on her before the injury - she couldn't stop Bueckers anyway.
The injured girl wasn't an offensive threat, she only had 4 points. Why couldn't their top scorers put the ball in the hoop? Connecticut had a 12-0 run in the first quarter with that girl playing. They are just a young team that is streaky.
Not to mention one of Connecticut's starters was hurt in the first round of the tournament and wasn't playing yesterday. You can also say Connecticut would have won by 20 if their girl played. At least Baylor had 3 quarters with their player.
All I hear is excuses coming from Baylor and their coach. Crybabies.

She is a superstar.
So why did she not step up big against Arizona when her team needed her?
