Have heard lots of people say the pumo nitro deviate is a lot like the turbo. There is a plate though, stack isn't too high I believe, 32/24. I would also suggest looking at the hoka mach 4 (I know you said no hokas but the reviews are great). Maybe even something like the new balance beacon or new balance fuel cell rebel v2 (v1 is great but heel counter isn't "plush", v2 isnt out yet but should be soon). Why do you need the plush heel? Preference or achilles issues? That could change my suggestions
Good shout on the Rebel v2....really wish they were available now! I've had 2 pairs of the v1s and, other than running a bit hot, I've got on with them really well. I can see myself running London in the new RC Elites too.
I do have some achilles issues borne out of an old football injury which has resulted in a slightly sloppy/floppy ankle, meaning that my heel landing benefits from some gentle "guidance" and protection. I feel like the Adizero Pro performs this brilliantly with the chunk of Boost at the heel. Maybe the Boston could work?
Hoka-wise I've had my fingers (or toes) burnt with them in general. I had a pair of Clifton 3s which I loved, but I've hated everything since (Clifton 5, Carbon X, Rincon). As such I have a depressing graveyard of barely used Hokas!
