Most people's knowledge of Mormonism comes from South Park.

Nothing I said was untrue, and I can give you sources all day. Especially for the 'black people are the devil' part, which you notably left alone....[/quote]
No one ever said that 'black people are the devil' I would like to point out that you have no idea what you are talking about. I would also like to say the past is a foreign country, they do things different there. You didn't live then so you don't understand. And guess what the people leading the church are human. They make mistakes as do you.
In 1978 God revealed to church leaders that a previous ban on black members should be reversed. God decided not to apologize, but rather, to simply look forward, interestingly enough.
Early mormon teachings involved the idea that black skin was a curse; these were the children of Cain (Curse of Cain, Mormon Doctrine, abr 1:20-27, etc etc, look it up).
Many fundamentalists still believe this. Many of us have parents who grew up being taught this. Don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. We can be honest about our past and present issues without lashing out at others. There's a reason NBA players consistently call Utah the most racist place they play.

Finally someone posts the rule and, what do you know? They're neither breaking any rule nor cheating. As I wrote a page or so back, this thread, and all threads about any runner who the angry mob figures is LDS, is no longer an 'Official Connor Mantz' thread, but a 'post your objections to the LDS church here' thread. There have been a bunch of them. Still hasn't been a thread on which everyone posts their objections about the Sikh (or Sunni, or Methodist, or Universalist Unitarian) religion. Not one.

I've never heard about an NBA player saying that. I live in Utah and I haven't seen any racism. I think the south is far more racist than the west.
There were documents that came out in the 70s about the guy that creates Mormonism that proved he made it up. The guy was a lifetime conman before Mormonism!
Yeah, I live in Utah and this is a well-known problem. Parts of Utah are as bad as the worst of the South.

This is pretty well-known. My reply was deleted, but it consisted of numerous articles discussing the NBA's longstanding problems with Jazz fans.

Salt Lake city has less members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints than there are members. What's % of the Jazz fans are members?
