I've worn nothing else for over a decade, maybe 15 years. A few years ago I bought 10 pairs of the Gel Foundation 13 and now I've finally worn them out. Now it's discontinued. I can't find anything that gives me the same feel. They fit my feet perfectly. I've seen notes here and there that Asics recommends either the Kayano or GT 2000, but neither feels the same. The Kayano isn't bad, but it fells so much less cushioned. The GT2000 just fits differently and my feet move around more that with the Foundation.
Any advice on shoes of any brand that fit very close to the Gel Foundation would be greatly appreciated!

GT 4000?

Someone else suggested the GT 4000. It's very hard to find. I wonder if Asics plans to continue to support it. I want to choose a model that is popular enough that I'll be able to stick with it for a while before it's discontinued so I don't need to figure this out again.

A lot has progressed in shoe design in the past decade. You'd be selling yourself short with attempting to pick one shoe based off of the opinions of people who don't know important details about you and your running stride.
I suggest driving to your nearest Serious running shoe store. Not a Dicks/Models, like a real running shoe store that stocks the good stuff. Even if you have to drive a few hours its worth it. Call ahead to make sure someone that is knowledgeable will be available to assist you with selecting and trying on several pairs of shoes. Get out of your comfort zone and try out a few shoes that you think you might not like. Maybe leave with two different shoes (one softer one firmer) that you can rotate in your training. Its nice having a variety of different style shoes in the rotation rather than becoming dependent on a shoe with a specific feature that may alter your stride with long term use. -
In the past I had the Gel Foundation too.
I have one Kayano25 but I did't like it too much. The same was true for the Asics 2000.
Right now I have the New Banlance Vongo and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 20. The Brooks is on sale at Brooks.com and Running warehouse right now. -
Saucony Omni or Hurricane. Actually, the new Omni that launches this summer will be very good.

Big fan of the Foundation!. Omni is a lil softer than The foundation great comfortable shoe but nowhere near the foundation for over pronators. I tried the Brooks Beast which has tremendous support yet sturdier and heavier than Asics Foundation. I suggest buying insoles that would help stabilize the feet.

I used to be a fan for the Gel Foundation too. There were a good alternative to the Brooks Beast which I used in ultra races.
Just this morning I threw the only Gel Kayano I ever had (#25) away.
They were okay but felt quite stiff. I didn't like them much.
For a long time I am using Brooks Adrenaline and just last year I discovered the NB Vongo V4. I like the NB a lot.
Pronator, 6-2 , 180lbs 56years old just to give you an idea -

The problem with these "real running stores" is that they just employ 17 year old kids. -
Hoka Gaviota. First non-Asics shoes for me and not going back.
