Because nowadays it's just shipping out some shoes to the most watched influencers on YouTube ,which will rave about it and the word spreads to sites such as reddit and letsrun, who again will shout about it to other runners.
No need to big advertisement these days, it seems..
Why is shoe marketing so BAD?

There's a thread elsewhere about Seth James Demoor and Kofuzi (sp.?) and the allegation they're both Nike shills. And they probably are. That's where the 'advertising' for shoes is. You think Puma or Adidas are going to have TV commercials? Put ads in print magazines? Use skywriters over your town?
No. Odds are, you watch someone on YouTube talk about shoes. Odds are that if you need spikes, you know where to find spikes. Odds are that if you need running shoes, you know where to find out about running shoes. -

Great thread. First of all, adidas kills me with their lower case "a" for adidas, and then the adizero line. So you have a shoe called the adidas adios pro, and a different shoe called the adidas adizero adios, and another shoe called the adidas adizero pro. 3 different shoes; very confusing.
Speaking of the adios pro, why is it so hard for them to make enough shoes to meet the demand? Why do they sell out within a few hours as soon as they are released? Can't they just make more?
And for Nike, everyone loved the LunarGlide and they got rid of that. The replacement, Odyssey React, was really good, and then they got rid of that. Now they have this Infinity shoe which is way heavier and fits completely different.
I also wish Mizuno still made fast shoes. -
another goodie on the Sneaker world. You all should see the running shoes that stock X has listed nowadays. Hype hype hype. this will also answer the scarcity model of marketing.
