The thread about millennials posting everything they do on the internet inspired me. Every single thing you do and say (yes, I see the irony in posting this in the first place) must triangulate back to the internet. There are no more regular, human conversations that don't involve the smart phone in some way. School is zoom, masks everywhere. Nobody in public values or takes a stand for anything besides safety and diversity. There needs to be room for other ideas and things in life besides safety, diversity and the internet.

The key is not letting these things bother you. If you let them bother you, you will drive yourself insane. Just do you. Live your life. Be happy. Ignore all the inevitable BS.

It’s easy to feel that way. I do sometimes. But realize this: the Internet and internet-driven media is a self-reinforcing echo chamber. It only talks to itself. There are plenty of people (for now, at least) that exist outside that bubble, and for whom the bullshiz of the Internet are just that: stupid BS loserTwitter people that get themselves worked up over nothing.

We still exist. For now. Although we feel more and more like the resistance in 1984 every day.

Turn off your phone. Delete your social media. Reject the status quo. Be a modern renegade.

We live in a world of narcissism fueled by social media.

People starting a gym workout program or running program have to put themselves on Instagram or FB asking for followers. They then record everything they do asking likes & approval.

People at the gyms or running tracks constantly taking selfies and putting it out there on social media.

Steroid or SARMs users getting buffed because of the gear thus creating their own YouTube channel and bragging about how great they are, but denying that they use any gear that helped them develop their physique.

The World is full of phoneys & narcissists!

I get what you are saying and I am not saying it ain't true. But there are also a lot of people going about their day kicking ass and not posting any of it. How would you know about those people tho? They are not advertising themselves and unless you are talking to and meeting hundreds of people in real life to have a bigger sample size you simply won't know they exist...

Dude, just get off of social media. This is the only social media I read and I mostly pity the folks on these boards. I like the old school threads and some of the running banter so I stick around.

People who tweet or even read Twitter are miserable. They know it. Same goes for the other platforms in varying degrees.

Just erase your profile, delete the apps from your phone, and move on. It'll take you 5 minutes and you'll be so much happier.

Just be a nice person and engage those around you in conversation.
