The whole thing could have been avoided by not being dirtbag scum. Don't understand why anyone defends a POS like Floyd. Whether he died by drugs or cop, the world is a slightly better place now that he's six feet under. Unless you think holding a gun to a pregnant woman's belly and threatening to kill her makes him deserving of life.
+1
Floyd was an urban terrorist.
When you have a guy like this come into media attention, and you see his lengthy criminal record AND realize that he's just committed a crime AND he's just taken copious amounts of fentanyl, what you must understand is that this is how this guy lived day-in and day-out. He was not turning his life around - he was probably committing an arrestable crime every day of the week.
The neighborhoods that he roamed through breathed a sigh of relief when word got out that he was dead. This neighborhood and the city at-large was a better place that day until outside forces flew in and instigated a mob that burned down an already downtrodden, minority section of the city.
The blame lies at the feet of three parties: 1. media outlets inflaming the situation for ratings and ad revenue, 2. local and national politicians that saw the situation as politically advantageous, 3. left-wing, social justice warriors (your friends & neighbors) that amplified the false narrative. Remove any one of these pieces and the story blows over in a couple days without any damage or loss of life.
The entire situation is a complete nightmare EXCEPT the part about Floyd dying by overdose.
Chauvin walks and then sues the city and media for millions.
