Yes I have experience with this. What makes Jakob’s behavior shameful is that he is allegedly the class of the field. He doesn’t need to do this. This is now a pattern. He tried to gain an edge. This certainly makes me think of PEDs, whether fair or not.[/quote]
I have to agree! Associations have shown that they will protect and kowtow to top athletes at all costs whether it’s doping, shoes, or now in- race violations. Let’s be honest, the Euro Champs needs Jakob more than he needs them. DQ him and he decides to never run them again? Lol no chance. Despite the incessant defense of Jakob on this site, (coming primarily from high school fanboys) it is clear that he and his family may be “clean” when it comes to doping, but they are undoubtedly and verifiably dirty runners.

They look well-groomed and dressed to me. Skin white as milk, except some horrible tattoos. Can't tell where you've seen any dirt. We need proof.

While I made similar observations about the running style of the Ingebrigtsen's, that's not the issue for me here.
The issue I have is with European Athletics / the special commission. After the race, ALL judges (both Polish and international) unanimously decided for a DQ. These are the experts, they have judged thousands of race and know what they are doing better than anyone else.
Then, later that night against the decision of the judges, European Athletics/Committee comes in and decides against the decision of the judges and reinstates Jakob as winner of Gold.
What's the point of race judges in the first case?
Kszczot was disqualified in 2017 European Championship 800m AFTER winning Gold after stepping in 1 foot after a cart in the middle of the track when the field got messed up.
https://runningmagazine.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/European-Championships.jpgPolish appeal was rejected back then. Did it affect the outcome? No, if anything the cart directly in front of him made it harder for him. Was it his own fault? No, it got incredible crowded in the seconds of/after the cart.
The thing that the Polish and other T&F fans are angry about is that if it was Ingebrigtsen with his fame back in 2017 800m, he would have gotten reinstated as Gold winner.
One top-level Irish judge also looked at the video before it was overturned and said "it's extremely unlikely the DQ is going to change in favor of Jakob".
This isn't much about Jakob or not accepting him as winner (he was better, raced well, and in my eyes is the real winner), but the problem is that if he had been any other runner the DQ would still stand now. Like others pointed out here, Jakob and Gjert are by far the most important distance runners in Europe and European Athletics gives them special treatment because there is a lot of stake for them if they decide to never race European championships anymore.

Phil, I believe the bigger problem is that the other people should not be taking DQs. For certain this is a judging issue. It shouldn't have to be so black and white. These fella's should use this issue to bring to light these problems so that future runners are not DQd for such silliness.

What about the polish dude that got DQed in the 800m semis for cutting infront of swede Kramer?
Excact same process and result.
(First the pole got DQed, later reinstated after appeal)
I am guessing that doesn't count since it doesn't fit the narrative of Gjert the RUNNER (hillarious by the way) and Jakob had absolutely nothing to do with it?
In this instance, the more merited runner, Kramer, lost out on the final.
Or do you think there should not be an opportunity to appeal DQs?
It sure looks like you're arguing for that.
