Ssssh.. That part doesn't count..
I've seen the race.
The pole cuts in and starts the debacle that ends with jacob stepping outside the lane.
I'm not claiming it's an issue between Lewandowski and Ingrebrigtsen.
I am claiming you won't get an unbiased version in a polish news outlet as evidenced by the wording in the article itself.
"blackmail from the Norwegians" /"blackmail seems to have been successful"
- the evidence of this blackmail is Jakob's statement live on tv when being told he is DQed I suppose?
The norwegians are "activists"?
Give me a break.
And of course, it's the "popular" Lewy that owns the truth here?
At least we've established by your own quotes that he pulled out of the 3000m not out of protest, but rather because of injury...
An injury caused by the "stress of this situation" it seems like..
An excellent unbiased source of information you've got there!
What little credibility you had prior to yesterday has been destroyed by your unapologetic dishonesty in this thread. Ingebrigtsen was in lane 1 BEFORE Rozmys. It’s absurd to accuse him of attempting to pass on the inside when all he did was try to maintain his position. This fiction you’ve concocted where Jakob is so afraid of Marcin being at the front that he has to shove others out of the way is a perfect illustration of your delusion.
Even in the videos you linked which you believe support your twisted version of reality, it’s obvious that Ingebrigtsen doesn’t push Rozmys. Only after Rozmys continues to move in does Ingebrigtsen lose balance and then grab onto him to avoid falling. It’s telling that you only reference photos and videos which don’t include the seconds leading up to the collision, no doubt in an attempt to hide the fact that Rozmys starts in lane 2 and cuts in too aggressively on the turn.
I never would have accused you of being honest before, but this is a new low. Until you’re willing to address what actually transpired in the race, don’t bother replying. Your constant whining is insufferable, as is your inability to tell the truth.

LRP, I can tell you never raced a fast indoors 1500m, because you have no idea of what rumble such an amount of fast runners going tightly together can cause. Everyone there is lucky that Jakob kept his balance there, it could have ended in 5-6 runners tumbling....
Exactly. Phil has very little racing experience, but he is endlessly lecturing everyone. It doesn't matter if you have done hundreds of races of every kind and every type of training for many years, Phil always thinks he knows better than you.
It does not appear you are responding to me.
Well some of you are turning this into the Zapruder film where maybe 10 years from now you will be examining this for new details. Jakob has been running like a bully at times. This does not make him the killer of JFK but it also means that you play with fire one day you will get burned. Pay attention Jakob!
Have you ever run an overcrowded 1500m race? How about indoors?
Maybe Jacob should have gone to the back of the field on the first lap to avoid the inevitable melee.

Yes I have experience with this. What makes Jakob’s behavior shameful is that he is allegedly the class of the field. He doesn’t need to do this. This is now a pattern. He tried to gain an edge. This certainly makes me think of PEDs, whether fair or not.

Slowly I'm starting to believe that he and his brothers weren't born as some of the sickest people in our society ("asthma sufferers") who are at threat of receiving a lethal asthma attack that could end their life at any time, but maybe use it to gain an advantage in sports like former NOP athletes.
People got no clue how hard life is for people who have real asthma, if they don't have their inhaler ready when an attack happens they are lucky to just pass out and not die on the spot. These people barely survive through daily life and even walking is a huge stress, and would never even think about becoming elite athletes with their medical condition. Yet the Ingebrigtsen and many other elite runners apparently have the same lung problems (born with defect lungs), take the same meds and are somehow able to compete at the highest level in sports that are most demanding of the lungs.
Makes me really wonder how sick they really are, or if they just take meds for it because its a corticosteroid and has performance enhancing effects. Not accepting any losses due to rightful DQ's, constantly causing problems in track races, badmouthing other competitors, Gjerts comments like "running is 0 talent, it's all about training. My kids aren't any more talented than others" and so on etc. I just can't be a big fan of them anymore.

I mean, I've truck-sticked people in the middle of the race before but also happen to think PEDs are despicable. Simply being competitive does not mean you are also a drug cheat. It's like players getting a personal foul in football or a flagrant foul in basketball. Sometimes your emotions just take over in the middle of competition. The Ingebrigtsens certainly are competitive and not afraid of contact, but I don't at all think this means PEDs.

You may be correct but I see a “rules don’t apply to me” mindset. That is quite palpable.
Ok, now you start inserting lies about Jakob Ingebrigtsen doing asthma medicin too. You have lost all credibility and NOBODY cares about you supporting them or not. Just shut up, you are only embarrassing yourself.

This has to be the stupidest comment in this thread.
I thought the other post was silly.
This is just as silly.
It didn't turn out how your bias felt it should so you invented another reason.
Problems arise when people sprint out and slow down, causing the athetes behind to come up on them. How can we mitigate this?

Has anyone ever been more wrong than LateRunnerPhil in the history of this board?
He's a novice runner who professes to know everything about everything. Ignore him.
You just made all that up.
Albuterol is very mild, and should be available to anyone who wants it, like caffeine. It doesn't really help you if your lungs don't constrict.
Its pretty obvious you are not a fan of the Ingebrigtsens, no reason to pretend you just havent stopped being a fan. That happened a long time ago.
Lets take your issue with performance induced asthma:
There might be athletes (very likely) abusing the system to get an advantage. But you got to know that performance induced asthma could make an athlete unable to perform anywhere near the top, but at the same time nowhere near as bad as people with hard asthma as you are describing. These are two different things. You keep letting your hate for the Ingebrigtsen fill your thoughts and make comments like this showing you have a severe lack of knowledge of the topic. Notice, I have no opinion on the Ingebrigtsens use/or no use of asthma medicine.
Regarding talent, thats the same as all top athletes. Most of them doesnt acknowledge their superior talent.
