However, as a practical matter, Mu can get out front in the 800 control the race and make it an easy victory. She won't have to run the 4x4 prelim; the 800 and 400 prelims will be slightly more than a training interval. Mu would only have 2 hard races over 2 days, the open 400 and 4x4. Mu has a bright future, why not take the future as it comes and get it started by not leaving food on the table. No matter what Mu does in the future, a Bowerman and 3 NCAA titles is something she will look back on with pride. Btw, athletes looking back on their careers are far more likely to be disappointed by opportunities they didn't take advantage of than the ones they did.
