The TX Governors Mansion is still closed.
I wonder why Abbott is afraid to open his own home up, since he thinks it’s so safe.
Call (512) 463-5518 and demand Abbott opens his home also.
Isn't that funny.
Maybe his windmills are still frozen?
Windmills? Seriously, you are stupid.
There were some frozen wind turbines that were installed according to the specifications of the owners of the wind farms like Duke Energy and NextEra. The Governor doesn’t have any control over electrical specifications. It would be about as dumb as taking medical advice from a politician.

Now there's a real man, a real leader. Not afraid to go his own way to do the right thing when there's pressure from society, media and the communist minded "leaders" which hold people back for their own personal agenda under the guise of caring about people's health. Newsflash: they don't actually gives a rats behind about your health. It's all a front to fulfill their ultimate agenda.
what agenda is that?
how exactly were people being held back, would you say?
do you know what communism is?
Go to YouTube and look up “The world economic forum”. Not a conspiracy channel but an official channel for this global group. They very clearly lay out what the “agenda” is. To think they thought of all of this just in the past year would be laughable

Agree. It is absurd to blame Abbot for the storm issue. When extreme weather events that are super rare happen it often does not go smoothly because planning for every extreme event would be crazy expensive and detrimental. It was not the mayor of New Orleans's fault when the city flooded. It was not Bloomberg's fault when Sandy shut down NYC for a week.
The idea that we should reasonably expect a governor to have the wind turbines in Texas ready for what they just went through is absurd. I live in California and I've been shocked by people in our state's glee given our politicians lack of preparedness to annual events. We know the fires are coming every year and cal fire is always understaffed and under equipment. We have rolling blackouts every single summer. If we had to deal with a once in a hundred years event I don't even want to know the chaos that would ensure.

Good. Keep it coming. End these BS lockdowns and mandates.
Unfortunately I’m in crybaby-center-of-the-universe Massachusetts. We probably won’t have normal mask-free life back this decade.
The mask mandate makes sense in a grocery store or pharmacy store setting where old people have to go and not just choose to hit up the bar.
I believe in opening the economy, because I’ve seen it work in FL. We are doing better per capita that more than half the states including many with much stricter lockdowns. We also have more tourists and an older population. Vaccine rollout has gone well, and it’s time to get back to work.
I’m not going to celebrate the “loss” for Democrats just as I don’t like when liberals cheer the “loss” to the GOP. I do think we should all come together in 2021. If you live in TX and want to stay safe, then stay home and if you go out wear 2 masks as recommended. You don’t need the government to mandate your safety.

Only clowns wear two masks. I eyeroll involuntarily every time I see a lame double-masker.

Me wearing two masks is noticeably less effective in studies than both you and me wearing one. Is drunk driving ok? After all you could stay home or drive a safer car right? Or the government can issue a mandate that keeps everyone safe.
Humans suck at evaluating choices that don't have immediate consequences. Probabilistic results just don't line up with how we think.
I have no clue what Texas exact situation is but this comes across as a pure political move rather than health. The sane way of going to to reopen over a period of 6 weeks to see what happens. But that wouldn't generate a nice press release.
Do you care about the kids who parents lost their business and jobs due to the lockdowns? Do you care about the kids who have fallen way behind in their learning? My doctor forbids mask wearing in his office. You are just breathing in bad bacteria unless you wash your mask every day. Only people who are sick and cough should wear masks. But if it makes you feel better, ok. We now live in a society where virtue signaling is more important than facts.
..and the insane left is going bonkers!
I assume this means we are back to traditional mass start races in Texas.
Relocate the Boston Marathon to Texas !

Holy shiz amazing idea!!!
You’re a baby. Suck it up. It’s a cold.
Trump should have built the wall on the northern border of Texas. Isnt it time to let them secede or at least give the land back to Mexico? Then make Puerto Rico a state to keep us at 50.

You’ll trade Texas for Puerto Rico? Fair enough, let us go our own way.

I hope a bunch of Texans don't die because of this.
It is sad to see how weak a once proud state has become, filled with manly men who are so dainty they can't handle the feel of cloth against their faces. In all seriousness, what is more snowflake-like that turning into a whining you-know-what at the thought of wearing a mask?
