Felix Sanchez just ran 48.08 hurdles and then a couple minutes later ran 45.14. He won them both!!!
DAMN!

Anyone know why there were two dq's in the 400
That is amazing! Is he allowed to do that... I thought he was running cross-country for Georgetown this fall.
ha, thats a joke right
If he can mix a few more sub :50's in there, maybe he should try X-C.
you daft prick, franklin sanchez is from georgetown not felix sanchez.
I thought it couldn't be true :) That's pretty fast for a distance runner, anyway.
oops. my bad.
Still that is a really good couple of races by Felix.
uh, this would be the olympic quality felix sanchez, not that random gtown guy. This felix ran for USC. (the real USC not those cocks from carolina)
OK. I got it. Don't have to yell at me.
Also, FRANKLYN is not "a random gtown guy". He is very good. I bet he can beat you.
probably can beat me, but he will never run at crystal palace
Isn't that where the Detroit Pistons play? How do you know he won't run there (although if you have to play basketball, I'd probably agree with you)
"Daft Prick"
I loved that movie.
He's come along way from San Diego, he didn't even win the Cali State meet his Sr year of high school...anyone remeber who beat him?
Great decision by Felix to run and win both 400m and 400 hurdles. Since they are both GP events thats alot of points. Could end up winnng overall GP title which is worth atleast six figures. Not to mention a share of the gold of which he is still in contention. Could be a big payday for Mr Sanchez at the end of the season.
yeah Franklyn Sanchez the random Georgetown guy who holds the junior national 5k record. He took it away from some other nobody Prefonsomethingoranother, but back to Felix...
It was impressive, although the races were more like one hour apart.
In the 400H it went down to a "picture" before he was given the nod. Very very close.
In the 400m, he came from 4th with 40m to go and won by half a metre at the line.
One strong dude.
Sanchez is just keeping things interesting until Ricky Harris gets there.
Harold Schmid stepped up to the 800 and clocked a 1:44 without really training/concentrating on the event. I would suspect the strength needed to get over those bloody hurdles while sprinting a quarter means there are a few other guys out there capable of the same. It would be fun to see Felix give the 800 a try. (Not that all fast 400h guys can run a good 800 - Andre Phillips ran his tail off in the 800 in a few meets I was in years ago, he couldn't break 1:54, but it would be cool to Felix give it a go)
It said on the BBC coverage that Sanchez has a PB of 1:50.7
