Can confirm Luke Bons is a great guy. Went to Dublin Coffman HS in Ohio, ran against him in our conference quite a bit. Nicest guy you could ever meet. Coffman has always been a distance powerhouse in Ohio, but always ran less than 50 miles a week if memory serves me right. So it’s no surprise to me that he’s got these kind of wheels. Great job Luke!
He was just running to qualify for the NCAAs, not hit his pb. As you will see he eased up big time in the last few yards are he would have known he was well under the target time of 3:58.
