You've got to be kidding me.

and in a week, the lockdown will be over. Because that’s how easy this virus is to beat if you’re trying.
"Lockdown"
Aussies have been enjoying sports and concerts in person for months.
One week of restriction is a small price to pay for the life they've been living.
There's a reason a country of 5 million has 26 COVID deaths.

Qantas is saying they're resuming international flights in fall. What's going to happen with a population that hasn't built up antibodies and isn't vaccinating, I wonder?
They are vaccinating and with a population 80% that of Maryland, a functional government, and citizens with an interest in the common good, I think they can probably do it in a fairly rapid manner.

Enjoying the same stuff in Texas but don’t have to lose my freedom after a single COVID case.

^Another "pro-life" Texan, amirite? Looking out for his fellow citizens, especially old folks and hospital workers.
Texas has not had indoor concerts and sporting events. Lying is pandemic on LRC.

Texans have NOT experienced the same freedoms as New Zealanders over the past year. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Have there been concerts in TX with 20k+ crowds?! Kiwis have kicked Covid's ass and have experienced pretty much a normal life for months. Their ability to 'take one for the team' should be an example for all.
And the 'freedoms' you've enjoyed in TX as come at a cost... 150 deaths/100k, where NZ is .53/100k.
Texas can't even do a power grid right FFS.
The freedom to freeze to death!!

Comparing NZ to somewhere like Texas is a bit odd.
Tens of thousands dead of Covid and a disaster zone because it got cold.
Wow.

LOLLL riiiiight! I love that you think Texas compares to NZ... And I lived in TX!
Australia and New Zealand should merge. The world talks about them as if they are one country, so they should stop making it difficult for the rest of us.

IT IS AN ISLAND; that is the reason.
