Wha? I get they didn’t run anybody but really? Did someone mess up the team scores?

Still ran Nur, Raff, and a couple others who could be top 7.
It seems they just wanted to give some of their runners one last race this season. Not too many teams gave enough depth to have that option.
Luis, Nico, Blaise will all be rested and ready. In the long run, no one gives a hoot about Big Sky, but they will remember NCAAs if they win.
I don't get why you would tank your conference championship.
There is no regional meet. They are not running indoor.
How could it hurt to go out and win yourselves a conference title? NAU wouldn't even need to run all out to win. Just go do what you have to do to win the championship.
There is no way that was supposed to happen. Nobody takes an intentional pass at a conference meet, and no coach would give up a bonus for the win when an 85% effort would have won it.
Yeah a few key NAU guys were out sure, but SUU balled out. They are a legit team.
****Mods please change thread title******
NAU GOES HOME DEVASTATED!!!!!!!!
I should have asked this initially but what does this say about BYUs chances to take the W in Stillwater?

My opinion is little. BYU still has to tighten 4-5 gap more. Of course NAU could have a bad day........or forget to run 3 of their guys :)

Makes absolutely no difference. The guys in 4th and 5th in this race aren't expected to be scorers. It isn't like the NAU guys ran poorly. They went 1,4, 8, 9,16 without Nico, Luis, or Ferro. Everything we have seen this year suggest those guys will be right next to Nuir who won the race.
This feels like a year when both teams can stack 4 guys in the top 20 and the question will be if that 5th guy can stay close or if we will have a big gap back. NAU seems like they have more/better options for that 5th guy but obviously it is all about if 1 guy can execute.
NAU rests

Shoutout bootyboy Paul L for the dub
They lost. It was stupid and arrogant on their part. I now hope they don't win nationals.

^^^^^^^^Agreed!
NAU still should have won

I agree. Like do you really think you’re THAT good that you can just basically forfeit conference and not take crap for it. BYU balled out at conference and for the first time ever I’ll probably be rooting for them.
Yeah, the Colts should have beat Jets in SB 3 but they didn't
