What's the non African born world record? Mo Ahmed was Somali born I think
Dieter BAUMANN 12:54.70*
Chris SOLINSKY 12:55.53
Craig MOTTRAM 12:55.76
Dathan RITZENHEIN 12:56.27

If he's wearing the shoes, he'll get it for sure, along with maybe a few other people. The shoes make you 4% faster.

Forecast I’m seeing for the time of the men’s 5k is 57F with 6 mph winds. Seems pretty great.

What’s up, troll? Yeah I’m sure new spikes make a 13:00 runner a 12:28.8 man.
What is the start time US Eastern?

5:02 a.m.
Fasted dude with a mullet with blonde highlights is 12:55.76
Right now it's 20kph with gusts up to 50kph. It's really windy here trust me. Race is a few hours away so hopefully settles down.

57° is a bit cold for a fast 5K.
I suppose I should defer to the guys who are 1) in Australia and 2) have run much, much faster than 16:20 for 5k.
Fingers crossed!
Pace is 7:45 through 3k
Last year in Rome he ran 7:28 and lead the majority of that. With help until at least 2.5km 7:45 is jogging through 3km for him. It'll still be tough towards the end, but the guy knows how to time trial.
I'm calling a strong run, but still fades a little in the last 1200m for a 12:58. H gets the record first race off the plane this year in Europe.

Are Stewy’s balls as big as Mottram’s? I’m going to guess 12:57.7. Would be faster with pacers through 4,000.
Yeah, suks that the pacing wont be too great. Ahmed had great pacers. What was the pacing for Ahmeds 12:47? That is what McSweyn needs.
Ahmed closed in 3:58 last mile
5:00 last 2K
7:34 last 3K
predicting 12:52 for Stewy
Here come the juicy parts of the program. Good thing my dog woke me up to go outside at 3:15 a.m. where I live.
I think McSweyn can go close to the record tonight if he gets a good ride from Williamsz and co. I'm calling 12:58. Ramsden to go to 13:00 flat?
Loving the commentary and coverage of this one, quality streams in Australia lately!

Bothered me a bit how they kept saying “bridges a gap of 5 meters” to mean “opens a gap of 5 meters” but hey, it wouldn’t be LetsRun if someone wasn’t bitching about the commentary.
15yo just ran second over the 1000 under the old NR just behind Linden Hall.
Yep, 15yo and 16yo WR!
Unexpectedly woke up to use the bathroom and now I get to see whether StewyMac can get it done.
Anyone east coast here?
