I'm taking Linear Algebra after being away from math for more than 5 years. I'm finding that I understand how to do the problems pretty well and am doing well on the homework assignments, but I don't actually understand much of anything of the deeper meaning of what we're doing. The problems seem kind of like little puzzles to figure out, and that's about it. I'm wondering if that's kind of normal and if it's much of a problem. I kind of figure things will make more sense with time, but right now everything seems almost like little math exercises, not really much more than that (largely due to my own brain and understanding I think, not because my professor is bad or anything).
