This argument could go both ways - grocery store workers know the risk right now, they can easily just quit if they don't like it, nobody is forcing them to be there unlike people in the military who are under contract. I wasn't really arguing for or against OP's point though, just commenting on the cheap shots in this thread made at people in the military.

People are just tired of blind and unquestioned nationalism ruling the day. Is it not ok to express concern that our tax dollars are being spent sending our young out to kill people in other countries?
Why is this deemed honorable and acceptable in the US? Why has this been accepted as the norm?
