I'm often amazed my life has turned out as well as it has. When I was younger, my friends and I would do astonishingly stupid and dangerous things. Driving a Nissan Altima 70-80 mph in residential 25 mph zones, "ghost riding", and binge drinking on the weekends.
Now in my 30s, I'm horrified at how stupid we were. I'm not a parent yet, but it terrifies me to think of having kids who would fall prey to the same stupidity.
Does anyone else here ever grapple with realizations like this?
