Do you have a narrow foot, because I had to cut mine to accommodate my (non)-taylor bunions, and I don't think one should par more than $90 for them, but nonetheless, I aim to find out how they compare with the Vaporflies.
gomeb speed 6
The older version (not the cloak version, but the white/lime-green ) had a screwed up sizing (1/2 size small), and Running Warehouse was clearing them our for around $59.
With some strategic modifications, I think I can get mine down to 5oz without adversely affecting the shoe.
Atreyu The Artist
I always buy a ton of cheap spikes and flats on firsttothefinish. My kids really like the brooks mach series.
Just run with socks only. Shoes are overrated.
I’m a big fan of the nb1400. A great workout flat in my opinion. I’ve used them all the way up to a marathon, but have also ran 200m repeats in them without an issue.
I also really liked the adios 3, but haven’t tried any of the more recent versions.
ASICS hyper speed is $90. I don't run in them though
I would try to recommend something, but I'm so out of the loop you'd end up with something which isn't still in production. I like post #2, you can run like the zebra.

I ran a 7x4mins session on the track today, with some of the reps in the GoMeb Speed 6, and some in the AlphaFly. Results from the session I posted on another thread, but haven't discussed in detail a comparison between the shoes. In summary, the gait mechanics to properly run in each is radically different. The Speed 6's approach an old-school racing flat, and proper foot strike with rapid cadence is important. Conversely, the AlphaFly air-bags/foam/plate combo returns some of the energy put into it, so it is better to try and 'load' the shoe, throwing the old-school mechanics ideas like 'run on egg shells' out-the-window. They might seem to protect the legs more, and reduce fatigue, which would be particularly important for a road marathon. However, if racing anything from a 5k or shorter, it's probably a toss-up in terms of which shoe is 'faster'; particularly for the 5k, the Speed 6's might actually be the faster shoe with my form.
Saucony Fastwitch 9.

Those things were crushing my wide feet; had to send them back.

Same with the Nike Lt4; ridiculous.

I must have narrow feet or something. The streak lt4 feels a little loose to me, just about every other shoe feels like way loose.
Anyways, the streak lt4 retails at 90. Its out of stock just about everywhere though.
Horizon Vanish, Saucony Type A, GoMeb Speed 6, Streak LT if any are in stock. Fastwitch are nice but definitely on the narrow side.
Why don't you ask your heroes? Perhaps Dr. Knutt Wittkowski?
You believe he knows all about covid despite being ridiculed as a hack by his own former employer.
Our that dessicated Dr. Batterati? You value his geriatric opinion on all things it appears.
In summary, why get your running advice from runners? You don't get your covid advice from anyone credible...
Well, since Brooks is headquartered in Seattle you could head on down to 34th and Stone and check out what they have there.
Or, after you leave Brooks you could continue up Stone and go all the way to Super Jock-n-Jill by Green Lake and see what they have.
There's also the Brooks Outlet shop up in Bothell. Not sure if they carry racing flats or not but you could call and fins out as their supply changes all the time.
Or maybe this is just another Jamin troll?
Holy crap, jamin actually runs????
