GD, I'm curious: what's your theory on why a rocker technology doesn't benefit someone with a high stride rate as much as some with a lower-rate and longer (bouncier) stride? I'm also a high-stride rate runner (midfoot strike, low knees, heel-kick, short stride length, etc) and have been trying to figure out what shoes would theoretically work best for me. I feel like I've done well in the Vaporfly Next%, but I'm definitely curious if a different shoe would be even better for me. Like you, my thought has been that a really bouncy shoe would increase my stride length (a weakness), but otoh I think a long-striding, bouncy runner would "bounce" even farther in a bouncy shoe so maybe the really bouncy shoes benefit them as much or more than they benefit us? I did pick up an Alphafly and haven't liked it as much as the Vaporfly, so either the bouncier shoe wasn't as good for me or this permutation of a bouncier shoe didn't work for me or I just haven't tested it enough. Again, I'm still trying to wrap my brain around this and am interested in what others are thinking!
