OMG! Yes, this is an old video but I just happen to run across it today. This is absolutely outrageous!!!! Who looks at this and finds him not guilty? Had to be a white jury. I know bringing up race will cause me to be labeled a race baiter. The “we don’t know what happened before the video” excuse does not apply here. It doesn’t matter what happened before the video started rolling. This is really sad.
After a little research I found out that after this despicable video, this pig was hired by another police department in Maryland. He was recently fired for being involved in the death of another man he arrested. 🤦♂️
Am I the only one you hasn’t seen this video...Cop was acquitted and received $230,000

I’m so upset I forgot to post the video. -
These pigs are disgusting. The problem is the cops are buddies with the same people who are in involved in the entire legal system, from the police themselves to the court judges, jury and also the lawyers that they mingle with everyday in the courtroom.

Yep, probably could have handled that with more patience. I like how the video says - "....can be heard faintly..."
Also, no mention of why two different officers were called to the scene.
Would we look at this differently if we knew if he was sexually assaulting a minor and ran from the scene and resisted numerous prior attempts to stop fleeing from the other police officer? -

45 minutes without a response...I'll take that as a yes by a bunch of people afraid to be publicly honest. I believe I read on this site that that is what is wrong with America these days. -
OP: "The “we don’t know what happened before the video” excuse does not apply here."
A mere few posts later: "What if this happened before the video?!?!"
Classic LRC. -

It would be nice if more complete information was provided before people jump to conclusions but form what we have seen since Memorial Day weekend, sadly that isn't our mode of operation. -
No. I don’t look at it differently and I doubt that officer had that informations at that time. Frankly, the officer’s racist violence is as equally disgusting as assault on a minor.
Does the minor get $230k as well? Does this victim of police brutality? -

Why would we look at it any differently. The crime he is suspected of is irrelevant. If he was fleeing from the police earlier doesn’t matter either. It’s the cops job to catch bad guys so why do they get mad when they have to do their job? It’s not the cops job to act as judge, jury and executioner. I just would like to know how any reasonable person can look at that video and say it wasn’t assault? The black guy gave up and raised his arms. The racist pig , kicked him in the back and the broke his jaw with a vicious kick to the face. Terrible!!! -

Would you deal with someone that has a criminal record, has been seen with a weapon, and has resisted arrest minutes before you arrive on the scene the same way you would if you pulled over an old Nun who was driving 45 in 55 mph highway and getting reported by ticked off drivers? -
He should've been fired, prosecuted, and banned from any future LEO job. Supporting stuff like this is supporting the infringement of someone's right to a fair trial before they're punished. It's one thing if a suspect is actively fighting and a serious threat, but quite another to beat them like this while they're surrendering, regardless of the crime. Did he deserve a swift kick in the teeth for assaulting a minor? Yes, but that kick should come from the justice system, not a random cop who enjoys playing Batman. Supporting this opens the door for even worse things like this, which are all well and good until they affect you or your loved ones. I support the police as much as the next guy, but there's an epidemic of out of shape, power tripping, mentally ill etc. officers who take out their problems and issues on those that they're supposed to be arresting. There needs to be better mental screening and better training for officers so that they can do their jobs to the best of their ability.

And people continue to claim that there is no problem of police accountability in America. -

It is explained at the end of this article. Basically, when he was found not guilty they paid him $230,000 to resign. SMFH
THIS DISGUSTING PIG HAD 29 USE OF FORCE COMPLAINTS! -

It must be next to impossible to fire a police officer in Delaware. -
Good to see justice for police officers for once. It's about time an officer gets his due.
-
The cops are the hired muscle for the Oligarchs.
They must be give special privileges to ensure the elites stay on top -
I bet the family farm everyone here ripping the cops still dials 911 because someone hurt their feelings.
Does this appear to be excessive force? Yes. But to say context doesn’t matter is ridiculous and disingenuous.
Doesn’t matter how many complaints were filed against them. You have no idea how many people file petty complaints because they feel that receiving a ticket is against their civil rights. -

You agree that is excessive force so that means you think he should have been found guilty. You say context matters. Explain to us what situation would make it ok to kick a man in the back who is surrendering and then kick him again in his face when he is on the ground...breaking his jaw.
Also, are you saying having 29 use of force complaints is normal? -
Your reading comprehension seems to be subpar. I said it seemed excessive, you acknowledge that I said it seems excessive. There is nothing more to say there.
But to say that context is never important is just dumb. I’m going to go complete hyperbole on this, but if I was chasing Ted Bundy and he stopped running, I might feel tempted to kick him in the jaw.
You just have a clear bias, as shown in your name, so it’s clear you will just try to spin this for your narrative.
And yes, cops have bogus complaints filed against them all the time.
