Hello all. Man the weather was just complete garbage last week....
I hope everybody came out of last week injury free.
So so week here. The snow and bad footing really made my hamstring mad all week long, and a quick snow storm Saturday night made the race course snow packed, icey and slushy...
Monday: 14.53 miles 1'38"22 (6:46 avg)
Tuesday: 14.53 miles 1'36"04 (6:36 avg) thought this route would be free of snow, nope.....
Wednesday: 14.53 miles 1'44"03 (7:10 avg) A pretty heavy storm rolled in dropping heavy snow. Footing was bad, very hard to run and just a slow un-fun effort.
Thursday: 14.50 miles 1'36"40 (6:40 avg) Cold and breezy legs were just not having it.
Friday: 14.50 miles 1'29"43 (6:11 avg) finally not cold and most of the snow was gone.
Saturday: 8.20 miles 55:48 (6:48 avg) Ran with a friend.
Sunday: 3.55 miles 23:39 (6:39 avg), 4.06 miles for the race 21:25 (5:16 avg), 6.05 miles 40:06 (6:37 avg) and .46 miles 3:12 (6:50 avg). I really was looking forward to the race until I got there and saw everything covered in snow. It was in Denver, and where I live got nothing however its 70 miles to Denver from here. No racing flats, and even though the Turbo 2's are great, they have very little traction. I think I could have run 20:05 to 20:20 on a normal day. Oh well....lol.
94.90 miles, 701 miles on the year.
Have a great one all.
