Hmm wearing the next% track version I see. Those dragonfly's are unbelievable. There is no question now, that those shoes have staying power.
Mark English in unbelievable form, all things considered. He's a phenom. -
The only time you can call an Irishman English.
-
Any other 18 year olds running that fast in dragonfly’s ?
-
No question he is a serious athlete but a fair comment that the Dragonfly's are improving mid and distance times all over the place.
-
Huge talent and was running plenty fast enough before these “cheat spikes” to be labeled a phenom.
My only reservation about the kid is that his coach, Joe Ryan, has had two other athletes who have ran great at age 17/18 before suffering a long spell of injuries and never recapturing their teenage form. -
I was referring to Mark English as the phenom. I presume he has been working away during Covid? He probably has to, sort of a continuing prof development kind of thing.
That's a pity about those other two starlings. -
That’s all very vague
Imagine I’m a Division 1 assistant coach and I’m seeing a kid run faster than Donovan Brazier at the same age and you are telling me it’ll go nowhere
The coach
The athletes
The Who/where/what/why???? -
The coach is Joe Ryan.
His two previous starlets are Shane Fitzsimons and Kevin McGrath.
Shane ran 3:43 as an 18 year old. Kevin ran 1:48/3:46 at 17. Both subsequently suffered injuries and have struggled to regain form. Both stayed with their Joe Ryan
