As far as facilities go, the National Stadium is first class and has hosted many international events. They do have an administration in place and there is a big interest in running but mostly among the urban elites. In the rural areas not as much although there are a lot of events hosted there. Perhaps Kieran could be the catalyst that starts the running boo in Thailand?
I guess the same could be said for Kenya 65 years ago. There wasn't an administration in place and you never heard of a Kenyan doing well in any event. Times have changed and now they have produced many WR holders.
