The times are great but of course the shoes are really the issue here. Times have become a joke. That is why medals matter more. These times do not matter much in comparison.

US 5th all time!
Does anyone know if Fisher is the fastest US 23 year old all time?
Rupp ran 27:10 a week after turning 24, so it's close but Fisher has him beat.
Not to add insult to injury, but it was a week before he turned 24.
So Rupp remains the fastest US 23 year old for 10k.

A week before.
Whoops beat me to it

The funny thing about his stride is that I used to think the robotic nature would hold him back -- I was clearly dead wrong with that, as he looked the same the whole race.
I think he could be close to 13:05 and 27:00 in more even races. That is something.
Incredibly efficient runner. Makes it look easy when it is incredibly hard.
It is that kind of stride and form efficiency during all stages of a race that set the good ones apart.
Consider Fishers range. Some of that has to do with his efficiency.
The dude is also an all around poster boy for US running. As are many on the BTC.
Wishing him the very best.

I mean, I knew his name, team, and time. The results page doesn't have his country listed so I just assumed he was from the US since most of BTC is and Marc Scott doesn't sound particularly foreign (other than Marc with a C ofc).
There's no need to get feisty, I think we should just be excited about the fast times that just got run :)
Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they're full of sh!t
Heartless poster is obviously brainless as well.
Go find the emerald city and ask the wizard of Oz for both.

Yes... So brainless, in fact, that you concur 100% with my assessment of Fisher’s form and capabilities, and others post just to state how great my posts (more than one on just this thread) are.

It’s a great example of why 99% of the posts on this board are junk. People have little to no clue what they’re even commenting on, yet spout opinions like they’re fact.

Just know that not all British men are named "Nigel Stuffingham".

Uh, you must be mistaking what percentage of Americans speak English, which is 78%... 18% of the population is Hispanic/Latino and another 12% are Black and 5% are Asian. Probably around 55% of Americans have English roots. Ref. US Census 2016

Don’t all 13:10 guys pretty much have this range? 3:36/13:11/27:11 seems right about what you would expect +- a couple seconds. Sure a lot never run the 10k. As far as efficiency, I know enough to know that looking at a runner gives you basically zero knowledge of how efficient they are.
Dude is going to have some tough choices about what event to go all in on now.....
