Looking for a pair of trail running stability shoes. I wear a pair of Hoka Arahi 4’s for road racing. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

What type of trails, what type of distance etc...
10K to 13.2 miles and mountainous trails in state parks.
Personally I like Brooks stuff for trails, Caldera for none technical, Cascadia for technical. If you like Hokas, just wondering how you would get on with the Speedgoat though (personally these days I like sticking with the same brand if there are any stability issues etc) ?
The Hoka Speedgoat 4 is a very good shoe although the Gore Tex version is more like a hiking shoe than a running shoe. Another great shoe is the Salomon Sense Ride 4. I own a pair of Brooks Cascadia but personally find them a bit clunky - the hard rubber is very durable and good in bad conditions but also heavy and inflexible. Adidas used to make some good Terrex models but now they've gotten into shoes that are 120% recycled and goofy color schemes. The Adidas shoes with a fair amount of the newer cushioning and Continental outsoles are worth trying on if you can find them. Give some thought to buying a waterproof version of whatever trail shoes you buy as it will let you run on muddy / icy days you might otherwise stick to roads on
Basically...forget about buying a stability category trail shoe. they basically don't exist.
Adidas boston, trust me
I would consider shoes like the Asics Fuji-Trabuco a stability trail shoe.
Has some medial support wedge.
Also just look if the shoe has a proper reinforced heel, most stability comes from keeping your ankle upright.
