Honestly this is another reason why track isn't bigger. I don't run track and I got really interested in it because of Centro. I've noticed it's popular to hate on the best and most accomplished track athletes especially when they have off years. The haters are too dedicated to well, hating and this repels people away. You get haters in any sport or event but let people be fans of runners without saying they suck these runners b@ll$.

But you do realize that if Hocker had run this mile 44 days earlier, he would be the US in/out junior record holder (faster than Ryun). He would also be the world junior record holder (by 5 sec).
Had he run his 3000m 31 days earlier, he would also be the US in/out junior record holder (again ahead of Ryun)
At 5000m, he is only ranked behind Fernandez, Derrick and Fisher on the all time junior list.
Just saying that there is one fast 19 year old here on US soil.
