Obviously, Hocker’s indoor mile PB is faster than Centro’s indoor mile PB. However, Centro has run marginally faster outdoor than Hocker’s indoor time.
Still, it must be tough to see a teenager run as fast as him. In addition, I believe that Hocker has only run a few miles since his HS career ended (3 perhaps). Centro must have run the mile at least 30 times in the past 10 years, so it’s not as if he can say that he never had the opportunity to run a fast mile.
He must have a bit of self doubt right now....
Come to think of it. Could Centro even make Oregon’s DMR?
Teare has run the mile faster than Centro ever has (indoor or out). In addition, Teare did not have the opportunity to follow a group of guys for the entire distance when he ran his PB. So Teare gets the 1600m leg
C. Hunter ran 1:45.59 last week. Centro has run slightly faster than that outdoor, but has never come close to that indoor. Hunter gets the 800m leg.
Centro has run 2:17.00 for 1000m indoor and has run faster than that outdoor. I would like to see what Hocker could do over 1000m. I think that it’s a toss up for the 1200m leg between him and Hocker. I would have them run a run off to decide. My money would be on Hocker however.
