Did she run 9:01?
Did she run 9:01?
Both Rachel Schneide and Hannah Steelman are Maine natives. Born in the great state of Maine I believe!!!

Any of you guys realize a high school girl ran faster today running alone in lane 2 most of the race?
Who and where?
Didimao in Chicago from MI.
See the thread.
I will try again. Dadamio.
What was in lane 1?
Well don't keep us guessing, who is it and what was their time?
Anyway I kind of agree that while certainly sometimes you need to just chill. I don't think that means you necessarily have to just sit on the couch. And definitely switching up modalities.

Race walkers! Taking the concept of multitasking to the track
About 15 girls most of whom she lapped twice. She started lapping about 5 laps in.
Never happened to Tuohy. :)
We will see some great times in high school this year. The covid effect.
Btw a 9:01 3000m converts to about a 9:40 3200 and a 9:44 two mile. That assumes no pacer or supershoes.
I agree if you're having knee issues build up all those muscles around the knee. I don't think sitting on the couch is the best advice
She waa definitely rehabbing. I am certainly not dispensing medical advice, just noting that when I had the issue I took a running break and it disappeared.

You lose credibility when you mis state facts. She ran 1 1/2 turns in lane 2 to lap other runners. She lapped noone in the first mile that I saw. But 9:51 is a great time.
But more high schoolers had a full season in the fall than college runners did. So that logic says that the gap should be wider rather than smaller. Dadamio ran 11 cross country races in the fall and has run 8 indoor track races in 2021. That sounds like the opposite of Covid and not racing.

I think he means that the a lot of high schoolers have a lot less School responsibility now and a lot more time for training if they choose
It is a theory. Just the idea that you take away all the daily stress and exhaustion of high school life that all of us took for granted with remote learning and that kids will be generally more rested and better trained. Who knows? Just a thought, half-baked or not.
Yep.
