3:00 maybe? Tuohy looks like she is starting to struggle at 6:07 ish 2,000. Steelman looks good

Good call, almost on the nose. 1200 last night did not help her any.
http://jdl.liveresults.io/tf/2021-camel-city-invitational/210219F024Tuohy 9:19 so about a 9:12 conversion from flat to banked.
Rachel Schneider wins easily in 8:57.01 -- Katelyn in 9th 9:9.67.

Thanks. I doubt the run last night hurt her. JD's calculator had it worth a 9:21, but she is more strength based, and she evidently had a miss-step with a pacer. Conclusion: JD nailed it.

For what it's worth, she was seeded at 9:15, so 9:19 would appear to be in the ballpark of what they expected.

Nice run by Rachel! Picked up the 9:00 bonus, to boot.

Agreed - and again she did run a hard 1200 last night.
But they need to work with her more on racing - which she rarely had to do in HS. She took quite a while to get and stay in a good spot.
Thanks Bill Meylan! You are like Santa somehow finding my humble post.
That's a rich history of relay legs. For Tuohy fans, note the length and consistency of her career. Senior year relays were of course wiped out due virus. For the haters, note that while her recent 1200m leg was indeed "similar" to her 9th grade time, her best overall performances were the 438 and 436 1600m legs, she ran as a junior. Also the 425 legs run by NC st, wvu, and vt yesterday are similar to Arkansas' nation leading 1200m leg. Where these teams fell short was at 400m and 800m.
Fasttuohy, thanks for the Chmiel comeback video. Is that really North Rockland she catches? The uniform does not seem right, and video does not show the 1200m leg.
Have a good weekend all!
That will come. They key thing she is back running in competition.

I don't doubt your conversion, but is it based upon comparing other results? Published studies?
Mondo designs their banked tracks to (supposedly) optimally counteract centrifugal force, which is why I think we see some runners run faster times on them Indoor versus there Outdoor times.
Great run by RS. Steelman looked good. I though Chmiel was supposed to be in this race??
Decent run by Tuohy. I would expect 9:15 was their target. She made a few surges toward the front which I don't think helped her. Nice to see her get that one over with.

That is NR (who finished 2nd), and Tuohy did lead off. Full video is still on Milesplit Pro (I checked)

Schneider made that look SO easy. Setting herself up for a nice payday if she also wins the mile.
Katelyn looks great! It's been a crazy year, but she definitely looks solid and seems to be in a great place down there in NC. Seems like a great group of girls. Steelman looks really good. What's going on with Clairmont how come she's not running? But Henes, Steelman, tuohy, really solid stuff...
