I know that I'll probably suffer from DOMS for a few weeks, but would it be smart to start regular strength training while continuing running high mileage? Currently I'm at about 80 mpw, mostly easy, not enough speedwork. Since I'm not training for anything particular right now, I feel that rather than introduce a bunch of new stimuli at once (strength training, speed work, etc.), I would focus on developing all-round better athleticism, and where better to start then with strength training.
Should I reduce mileage temporarily or keep the same mileage while going slower?
