Matthew Centrowitz triggered by Oregon Runner's "your move" comment

I think Centro doesn't know what a joke is and takes it personal. We all know people like this.

I really hope Centro gets smoked at the trials. Maybe it'll cool his ego a bit.

Loooool this is fantastic. I do love the beef. Hopefully it fires Centro up a bit to get back in shape. Centro is a manchild though, as much as I like his antics most of the time.

Kinda seems to be petty behavior by Centro to me.

Someone should start an IG account titled “MG Centro Your Move,” and comment on race results tagging MG Centro with the comment “Your Move”

In defense of Centro, so many college kids these days, including Teare and apparently Hocker and their fanbois like Silva, are super annoying. They imitate the language of poor blacks constantly—are suburban white kids like these Oregon boys talking about “dis” and “dat” racists or anti-racists? Hard to keep up these days.

In any case, in addition to the atrocious language, they also seem to have adopted the culture of starting “beef” and tearing each other down instead of building each other up.

Sad state of affairs all around.

I have no idea what you're talking about in terms of "imitating poor blacks"; they certainly don't talk like that from the videos I've seen.

Which demographic do you think is being parroted with language such as “dat boy up to somethin” ?

I’m also interested if the demographic being parroted has any “beef” with being imitated in this way by suburban whites.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve read in a while. All college runners I know are supportive of each other. This wasn’t meant to be malicious, centro is just a tool

Despite what we think here Centro isn’t internet famous. If you tag him he is going to see it. It is more like tagging someone else in the ncaa with, “your move.” It is also easy to miss the sarcasm considering how well Hocker ran. It is possible Christman even was serious until Centro actually replied, so he backtracked. Throw in Centro has been injured and not running well and you get this train wreck.

I don’t know why this is a surprise to anyone. Centro has always been brash and not afraid to talk trash.

He’s also pretty much the greatest American miler ever so he can say whatever he wants. I don’t understand why this Carter kid is taking shots at him.

I appreciated Ben Crawford’s videos over the summer. I thought they were cool. But Centro is right. These guys have just started making waves in the ncaa and act like they’re the best to ever do it. Even a guy like Cheserek never talked himself up that much. Just odd that they’d try to call out Centro.

I know Ben Thomas has been coaching at Oregon for a while now, but it seems like the old era has finally, completely, come to a close.

An Olympic race is not a time trial. He is need to shows respect to Centro. Centro is a racer not a time trialers.
