Ok I will admit, I am from Iowa, so I am biased. But this girl is the real deal. She is only a sophomore and won state cross country last year (2020) in the fastest time amongst all classes. She is the only girl that ran sub 18 on a day that did produce particularly fast times, beating teammate Paityn Noe who ran in the 17:30s that season. Not enough to convince you? Ok, how about the fact that in the first 3000 she ever ran (reminder that she is a sophomore, her freshman season got canceled due to Covid-19), she ran a 9:54 indoors which is the fastest indoors time EVER in the state of Iowa. I mean faster than Karissa Schweizer, Shelby Houlihan, high school phenom Stephanie Jenks. Yes, ever. Not only that, but it is 22nd all time for a sophomore. She also seems to run extremely effortless and is not scared to run at the front of a pack. I would bet that she will win multiple titles (drake & state) this spring and that, if she chooses, she could even become a big factor nationally. Even if she doesn't, look for her to go to a good college and make an impact on the national level as she develops her running further. She herself claims that she is better at the endurance aspect than speed, so when she develops her speed... watch out.
