This is for training AND races. You can only run this distance, no more, no less.
Five. Enough for most interval days and all tempo days.
A bit disappointing on other days when the weather and/or location was good and I was feeling good.
However, if we're only talking round miles, I wouldn't ever want to be stuck with ALL easy runs having to be at least 6. I'm too lazy for that kind of dedication....and some days, if you're hurting enough, it probably ain't smart.
