You know it’s true. Why no short track accusations here? Crazy fast times in multiple events by many athletes.

Huh? Have there been a lot of indoor tracks in the USA measuring short? Any?

All I’m saying is that I’m surprised there have been little or no challenges to the fact that so many athletes ran so fast at that meet. I hope it’s all clean, but it was almost too extraordinary.
If El G had run only a 3:32 meet record on it I most certainly would not call it a short track. What are you on about?

This is such a dumb take. Always is. The 800 wasn't fast at all. Does the track shrink when it gets later in the evening? No.

“Like a frightened turtle”
Why would they move the Lievin track to the USA?
Or talk about new shoes with carbon plates and highly responsive cushioning. Suprised I did not hear more about it with such performances.
What does being held in the USA vs. France have to do with anything?

2 the Gills!!
I think the OP has a good point, BU always has skeptics to its actual distance. It is fair to question why the track that just had crazy fast times run on it is not questioned similarly to other indoor tracks that are.

It's the same thing as when people claimed the track was short for all those crazy times by the Chinese women in the Asian Games. It must have magically expanded for the men's times which were mediocre as always.

This thread is incomprehensible and therefore deletion is probably imminent. In the mean time, BU's speed is easy to understand. Very bouncy and bank optimized for around 28 seconds a lap. Thus, a good place to run 3:49, and everyone for whom the bank is too steep is still running on a trampoline. Just enter an open meet and you'll see.

And more importantly, who would be holding it, and why? Wouldn't it be heavy?
