Cool, but why base yourself there as a runner?
Cool in the winter, dry all the time. Can go up to various levels of altitude in Sedona or Flagstaff if needed.
Summers are obviously brutal but can be managed if you get up early enough.
Scottsdale isn't super cheap, but the surrounding areas are or were until this year.
Not my ideal place to train, but it's not any better or worse than anywhere else.
Good weather for about eight months a year. I'd rather be somewhere else from mid May to mid September when it's really hot. Compared to California, Portland, and Seattle it's definitely cheaper for buying a house or renting a house/apartment.
