holy crap
7:24 for by Wale (not Waly, my bad)...just misses the world record. Wow. 8 100ths of a second away.
WHAT JUST HAPPENED
MISCOUNTING THE LAPS WORKED OUT
WHO SAID WALE WAS GONNA BE GOOD
I KNOW IT WAS JOHN WESLEY HARDING

He might never get that close again. Damn. What a run.
Girma and Wale going steeplebro mode to block off Barega? or simple miscount
Big issue with the lap display, the screen showed final lap while it was still two laps to go. Girma got confused and almost stopped at 400 m from the finish.
Girma sure helped Wale

Yes, Girma sprinted the lap before the last and brought Wale close to Komen.
Jakob...is...ridiculous good
Not the best-organized event. Lots of small mishaps all the time. Especially with the timing, but also with the broadcast.

Not as good as Selemon and Wale.

I axrually think it may be more of a benefit in the Cheruiyot era. The Doha final showed that if some try and go with Tim and aren't in shape, they will get burned by Marcin
Yeah, he can definitely pick the up scraps of Tim's wreckage. Just matters how many scraps there are.
I think with the ascension of Jakob and the younger guys (McSweyn, Gressier, Tefera, probably some dudes I am forgetting) there are going to be enough guys that can run 3:28-3:31 to leave Marcin behind as long as they are just hanging on to Tim for dear life.
I lol’d at his inclusion.
I’ve got a good feeling about Jake Wightman’s medal chances, and generally agree with you that Lewandowski is likely to be past in global medal days. I know it seems “kinda messed up” but Lewandowski will turn 34 in June, which is getting up there for mid-distances. He didn’t switch his primary racing focus to the 1500 until a few years ago, but that’s pretty irrelevant since he’d been a high-mileage 800 runner who’s contested a 1500 almost every year since 2004.
Why does everyone mention Gressier as a contender on the world stage. He’s a best top 10 in Europe, sorry to say.

Wale performance is more impressive.
Man of the night if no WR in the hurdles.
For some reason I thought Gressier ran 3:31 recently. Must have misread something.

No to both.
Easiest prediction ever.
Not really. You just got lucky. Filip, Birgen & Tefera should also have destroyed Gressier but it was the other way around.
Ah, JWH set me straight -- I was thinking of Wightman. I just mixed them up. Nondescript white dudes that are relatively young.
