Hi all,
I just started running in the pegasus 37's and the shoes seem to be a lot stiffer compared to pervious models. I was wondering if any of y'all have had the same issues and if they loosened up eventually or not?
I've ran in Peggies almost my entire running career and I have about 25 miles on the new 37's.
Thanks
Why would anyone want a 10mm drop trainer? Also, find it hard to believe they’re stiffer than the 36...combat boots.
Stewart McSweyn does 85% of his mileage in the Pegasus. If it's good enough for pro-runners, why shouldn't it be for recreational runners with even worse running form?
Always think about the trade-off.
80 mpw with Pegasus - no pain
40 mpw with zero-drop shoes - no pain
70 mpw with zero-drop shoes - injured
Get the idea? Zero drop are much harder on the feet, and calves, forefoot runners will feel that (and heel strikers probably don't feel good in zero drop anyway). They are good shoes, but in my opinion 90% of runners should use them sparingly, and not as 24/7 training shoe.
