not a good day for Lawson, probably an aberration , but still Stanford needs a 5th (unless they were held out). But the race was not terribly fast. MacArthur had nothing at the end. MacArthur had nothing at the end when the top 4 moved.

Roberts is supposed to be top 5.

as is Oakes I believe who ran in the 2nd race. Maybe Roberts fell or something, I do not know, but she was way back from early on.
Colorado and Stanford both had overlap between the races.
Lawson was in 10th thru 3k but had a very poor 4th k and fell off from there which would suggest she's rounding back into form following injury/illness.
Abi Archer & Aubrey Roberts were never in the mix. In fact, Roberts started out in around 100th place and actually moved up to her final 60-ish place finish at the end.
In defense of Stanford, expected top-5 Christina Aragon was on the entry list but DNRd.
Kristen Fahy, another potential top-7 runner for the team, did not even make the trip.
Seems that for the Stanford women today, you either ran great or were terrible.
Men, on the other hand, were uniformly excellent. And, they ran without top-7 Callum Bolger who was on the entry list but DNRd as well as potential top-7 Connor Lane who did not make the trip.
Summary: collectively, women ran a bit below while -- men performed way above -- expectations.
