No, he was not running like a "15 min guy" for most of college. Yes, his journey has been non linear and untraditional. Tfrrss doesn't tell the whole story!

Yep. Not sure what these people are looking at, but he ran 14:01 last year and ran several in the 14s before that. He was not a "15 minute guy".
Yes, he has improved. Good for him. It's not unusual for a 9:04 high school guy to do what he's doing. He's a great runner, but this didn't just come out of the blue. He was great in high school, has shown regular progress throughout college, and now he's 5 years more mature than he was as a high school senior. Good for him, but the astonishment from some people here is unwarranted.

Actually he was running like a 15 minute guy. Not sure why some of you are too obtuse to grasp this.

Unnatural improvements in a year where no one is testing and all the pros are making huge mysterious jumps too. Nothing is sacred anymore.
I think we need to calm down, D2 records are all soft. D2 has a lot of scholarship money and less stringent eligibility rules. They shouldn't be so far behind D1.
16 people in D1 ran faster last indoors. That means he still wouldn't have made D1 nationals last year since top 16 qualify.
noble was posting about himself in the 3rd person on a local indiana running forum. pretty strange
Ayy finally someone else messes with IndianaRunner. That was strange, I will admit.
