Will there be anyone on the elite level desiring his services? On the one hand, I'm sure he can get good results out of his athletes, but on the other, people will always be suspicious of those results and the integrity of these athletes.

Not to mention the shaming abuse you'd very possibly have to put up with as a female.
Alberto will offer his services at letsrun.com for free, IF you are a VIP member.
I'm sure he will. Just look at professional coaches who have many scandals or "controversial reputations" who keep coaching. Thw list is extensive. College basketball comes to mind. It seems as if all the top coaches there have been involved in a scandal or two. It can be a dirty game. I don't think Salazar cares. In order to be like him, you have to not care. That's who he is. Others act as if they care about integrity but, as the saying goes, let he who is without sin cast the last stone.
Won't be surprised if Rupp and Hasay are the first to join him again.

I would be shocked. They would be putting a cloud over any future accomplishments. There are other great coaches and they wouldn't want to spend even a minute defending their decision to be coached by Salazar again.
Yesterday, I watched Mary Cain and others on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel yesterday afternoon.
* Nike looked bad.
*Al Sal looked bad.
* Nike athletes look suspicious.
There are thousands of clinical psychologists with athletic experience who would love a sport psychologist gig. Instead, Nike made a non-psychologist their sport psychologist. A non-psychologist could be and can be controlled. All the sh!t clinical psychologists go through to become a clinical psychologist, a real clinical psychologist would not throw away their license to practice in order to cover for Alberto Salazar. The faux sport psychologist is proof Nike is dirty top to bottom.
There will ALWAYS be someone. Jordan Hasay will make her comeback with his coaching, like Mary Slaney did.

No elite runner will want to be coached by Salazar. If you were elite, would you want to run for him? I would prefer to be asked about my running and not Salazar. Mo has said he regrets ever being involved with Salazar
It would be a poor business decision for Nike to bring him back. Their elite runners will be just as good if they're coached by someone else.

It will still go against their best interests. Just about any friend or family member would strongly oppose them going back to Salazar.
What do you believe Salazar brings to the table that would justify being coached by someone with such a horrible reputation?
Al Sal is gonna need some cash. I think he will probably do an online coaching service. The rise of wifi smart scales will allow him to monitor his athletes' weight and criticize them as necessary.
Imagine getting daily training emails like this:
Wednesday:
7 miles at an easy pace.
Daily Motivation:
Whats wrong with you fatty? You look like a refrigerator.
Nutriton Tip:
No food today, only L-carnitine!
At least half the Olympic medals for US distance in the past decade.

That's because he was because he was able to recruit the best athletes and that might have been because Nike offered the biggest contracts. Half of the winners of medals over last decade were not coached by Salazar.

Would be very strange if some elite team or elite runner ever will let him coach them.
No , I doubt it. wrote:

After the drug bust and the Mary Cain scandal, Nike won't bring him back.
Salazar made really poor decisions. He had access to the best runners and could have coached for Nike for as long as he wanted to.

No surprise there.
This is a ridiculous thread, but it is absolutely worth mentioning that DARREN TREASURE needs to be investigated. Like now. Like yesterday. Mary Cain's allegations in her Instagram post yesterday are very serious and they extend beyond just sports and running. If Treasure actually posed as a sports psych, and broke confidentiality rules, aren't there some actual laws against that?
She also noted that athletes still work with Treasure today and likely those include U of O athletes and Pete Julian's athletes. Can this be looked into? Are Pete's athletes at all concerned that what they share with Treasure is being spread around to others, or are they just still living in their weird fantasy world where none of this exists?
